TEXAS HOYAS RAFFLE
The Texas Hoyas raffle was held Saturday April 10, 2010 @ the Victoria college Gymnasium. All in attendance as well as the Texas Hoyas Board and Directors would like to extend their gratitude to all participants of the raffle as well as the Security Guard of the Victoria College for drawing the tickets for the program. All winners of the raffle have been recently contacted to recive their prizes.  President Larry Sledge says " This fundraiser has proven to be a very successful event thanks to all of our parents and players." In the near future, the Texas Hoyas Youth Basketball Program are considering another raffle to help with more fundraising. Winners are posted below.

Alamo Spring Challenge Tournament RESULTS
The Alamo Spring Challenge tournament held in San Antonio, TX. this past weekend proved to be a successful event for all Texas Hoyas Teams in attendance.
             The 12/11U boys teams played well beginning their season with a 3rd place win. " Our boys played suprisingly well for players who have only practiced 3-4 times and having never played competitively organized basketball before" said Coach Jarvis Lee. 
            The 15/16U girls teams started their season with a 2-3 record and a 3rd place win. " We began playing a little sluggish and slow the first couple of games, but as the tournament progressed we began playing harder and as a team" says Coach Ieasha Sledge. "We have a long way to go, but after this tournament I can already see much progress. This team will go far individually and together". 
            The 16U boys teams, now with a record of 3-1 and a 2nd place win lost in the championship game to the SA Rohawks with a nail biting finish. "We played very hard, shot well, and excuted all the way to the end, but just fell short" said Coach Lee. 
            The Texas Hoyas Youth Basketball Program will debut the other 5 teams in the up and coming tournament held in Victoria, Tx. hosted by the Texas Hoyas and given by PrimeTimeSportz April 10-11 at local gyms.
